And you're right, there are many other points that I would love to see you write about - ADE, OAS, the persistence of performative/ineffective NPIs that continue after many mandates have been lifted etc. There's also the phenomenon of media capture, mostly in urban markets (blue states), that is then embraced by those readers. You wrote about this several months ago. Not sure there's anything to do about it, other than let our votes do the talking in November.
Years ago, I worked on a study on employee health for a large oil company in Houston, Texas. I always thought the smartest person working on this study was a gentleman from Taiwan, who was our epidemiologist. Since then, I always admired and revered epidemiologists and the work they do, I still do to this day. Thank you Dr. Sunetra Gupta.
