The educational world seems filled with group think that is quite afraid of being found out. Somehow they have been able to fill their ranks with a constant stream of similar views. Perhaps in engineering or hard science both the instructors and students may understand the consequences of poor preparation, but elsewhere not so much. As we progress into the world of opinion and information to support those opinions, it will be difficult for many fields to control thought. Once the dreams of perfect worlds in academia arrive at reality of the marketplace, institutions, guardians of knowledge become less relevant in the face of citizen awareness. Perhaps the reformation has already started.
OTOH, the cruelty of some in attacking others exposes the attacker who may or may not be accurate. Time may correct such people.
